- Quality Accommodations &
Cleanliness
- We give ourselves plenty of time to
clean and make any necessary repairs between guests due largely to
our weekly check-in after 9am on Saturday and check
out the following Friday before 11am.
- The Perfect Size Lake - Lake Edward is over 2000 acres - large enough for water sports, but more peaceful than a chain of lakes.
Right at our resort we have
boats
available to rent.
Responsible jet skiing is allowed.
- Flexible Reservations in the Summer - Book
your "week" checking in after 9 am on Saturday and
checking out the following Friday before 11 am, or
book a "mini vacation" -
Fri-Mon for 3 nights or Mon-Fri for 4 nights.
See our cabins page for more details.
- Gradual Sandy Beach & Clear Water - Our
beach area has a very gradual sand slope with clear water; ideal
for swimming, building sand castles or just relaxing in the sun.
- Quiet -
We are sensitive to the relaxation of others by observing a
quieter time after 10 pm.
- Your Own Fire Ring - Each
cabin has it's own fire ring nearby for your
enjoyment.
- Centrally Located in the
Brainerd Lakes Area - Click here for an
extensive list of
Day
Trips from our resort.

Shing Wako History The name, Shing Wako, was derived from the Ojibwe word,
zhingwaakoog, for White Pines. In the 1930's there were many
white pines in our area and the locals referred to them as Shing
Wak's. |
