July 28 – August 2, 2019 – This was our second stay and we’ll be back! What we like best about the resort is the beach access, clean comfortable cabins (esp. the sleeping porch) and the kayaks & paddle-boards. We don’t want to see anything changed! June 2019 – Just writing to say thank you for your recent hospitality! Our family enjoyed a long weekend at the end of June and we could not have more positive things to say about your resort. Our cabin was spotless and very spacious. The resort grounds were well cared for and provided a great place for our kids to enjoy the outdoor. Everyone’s favorite by far was the clean beach ad amazingly clear lake. Thank you for making our trip one to remember! We look forward to visiting again! From Guests in Cabin 12

The cabin with awsome kitchen, bathrooms & beds, the grounds, beach, pontoon, and all the fun things to do and still have enough space to feel private are AMAZING, the fact that you keep up with it all is equally amazing. The whole place is kept so clean and maintained right down to the wonderful firewood you brought to us nightly. Not many, if any resorts are keeping up to these standards anymore. Planning on seeing you again next year!”

Marty & Sue, We were so pleased with our week with you! The reunion units were the absolute greatest with beds for all ten, enough bathrooms and barbecue, deck, wonderful kitchen, a quiet place for the older folks, and a community room for all the crowd, etc. It could not have been better. We celebrated our 50th Anniversary and my daughter’s birthday and everyone had a finger in the planning and the execution of the fantastic time. The lake was super – many of our Grandkids caught their first fish, and more, on our pontoon. The walleye population we didn’t hurt so they are still there! The fire pit was wonderful with many s’mores, dogs, marshmallows and good community. The shopping was close, the accomodations were great, and we will have to return. Thank you for letting us share your wonderful resort. I cannot recommend it highly enough. And Sue and Marty are hosts par excellence. Have a great fall and winter!

Dear Marty & Sue,
Many thanks for the very relaxing and memorable stay at Shing Wako. From the comforts of cabin 10 to the fun whizzing around Lake Edward to our long hike to the delicious veggies from Borden Farm to the very enjoyable fire pit, we couldn’t have asked for more… oh and I forgot the friendly neighbors who shared their yummy freshly caught & fried sunnies & crappies with us!!! We ran out of time to play horseshoes so we gotta come back soon!

We were so impressed with the grounds & all the care that you put into keeping it so neat & cared for – you’re doing such a great job! We liked the un-cluttered grounds, quiet, very relaxing accommodations, NO RV’s Great!!, wonderful family resort! Please keep it as it is – so uncrowded, not cramped with too many cabins & people, very welcoming.

A great big thank you for a wonderful week vacation at the Shing Wako Resort. We had a fantastic time and made many family memories. As I said before, our cabin and experience far exceeded our expectations. Should we ever find ourselves planning a vacation in northern Minnesota, it will definitely include the Shing Wako Resort.
