northwoods of Minnesota, Shing
Wako offers reunion seekers everything from charming two bedroom
cabins to spacious luxury condos; you will find the perfect accommodations
for everyone in your group.
Our two bedroom cabins, #'s 1 - 7, offer quaint affordable lodging, and our new
three or four bedroom/2 bath cabins, #'s 8 - 14, offer an upgrade with a few more
amenities. Our Reunion Condos, #'s 15 - 20, make it possible for everyone to stay
under one roof but still provide lots of personal space. No matter
what you choose, all 18 of our units have fully equipped kitchens
for preparing your meals.

We think reunions have been very popular at Shing Wako Resort
because we provide a family friendly atmosphere. We keep a quieter time
after 10 pm and all of our cabins are non-smoking. Our resort is on
11 acres of well maintained grounds - offering you plenty of space to not
only stay together, but play together as well. Volleyball,
basketball, bocce ball, football, kickball, catch and badminton are
popular outdoor games.
Then there's the beach! The sandy shore of Lake Edward invites small
kids and kids at heart to build sandcastles, Swim or wade in the
shallow clear water.

Adults watching the kids can relax as
the depth is very gradual and the motorized water sports take place
further out in the lake. Fishing is better further out as well, as fish like more structure and
there are very few weeds in the swimming area.
Brainerd
fishing is a great reunion activity, if you would like to hold a
family fishing tournament let us know, we can point out the best
fishing locations on Lake Edward depending on the time of the year.
At night, you can wind down around your private fire ring. We sell
wood right here at the resort, and will personally deliver it to your fire
ring.
