Shing Wako Resort is located 12 miles north
of Brainerd, just a 2 ½-hour drive north of Minneapolis and St
Paul. There is also an airport in Brainerd with car rental.
Driving in from the south - take Hwy 371 N through Baxter to the
stop lights for Hwy 49, take a right, then take a left onto Hwy
3 N at the only stop light on Hwy 49. Go through the town of
Merrifield, then take a right to stay on County Road 3, drive
north less than 3 miles and turn left into the driveway just
before the Shing Wako Resort sign. (Note: Internet directions
have not recently been accurate.)
